MIND/BODY
Connection

Over time, the Brain has developed a network of triggers and responses that our cells, tissues
and organs  engage in at the mere  thought of danger.  Thousands of years ago to  survive dinosaurs or other threats to survival , Fight or Flight,  a term coined by
Renowned Harvard Physiologist,  Walter Cannon. This circuit was designed  to protect us from danger or perceived damage or harm.   The hypothalamus, a part of the brain automatically begins firing neurological and chemical messengers: Adrenaline, Noradrenaline Cortisol, into the blood.  The Stress Response begins (Sympathetic Activation) . While this state allowed our forerunners to respond, Modern scientists have identified prolong periods of activation of the Stress state results in exhaustion and eventually stress -related diseases .

Think of all the Television commercial for Drugs and think to want they are treating.
See the results on the body systems and Stress related illness that arise from chronic stress levels
and states below.  Scientific Studies have confirmed that our thoughts actually trigger physical changes in our nerves,  cells, and bodies.

Mind/Body Excercises

Test yourself: simply think of a person, place, animal, food, movie, or music that you love.  Now think of an upsetting event, person, situation. Or recall  watching a movie or listening to a song changed
your mood or  body.  What is your state of Mind?

Now think of your favorite food on a spoon moving toward your mouth, smell it and hold it there.
A usual response is increased saliva, your mouth waters. How a thought triggers a physical thought.
What do the different states or emotions of love, anger, depression, and  fear trigger in your cells,
muscles, nervous system, digestive system, breathing, immune system,  and your body weight.

As our minds are unable to distinguish between REALITY(what is actually in front of us) from
SUBJECTIVTY (our memories) of these foods people, experiences or objects, most of us experienced corresponding physical reactions at  mere thoughts during your test.
